my approach

My approach is centered around a core belief of mine: you are the expert of your own experience. You will be centered in all the work we do together. Some clients initially come to me looking for answers, but quickly find the answers are within themselves. My approach to therapy is collaborative and holistic, and I strongly believe in the mind-body connection. I pull from approaches such as attachment based, emotion-focused, solution-focused, trauma-focused, strength-based while employing a social justice, feminist, intersectional, and systemic framework.

TLDR; I see you as a whole person with lived experience that informs who you are and how you operate through the world, including the systems (political, geographic, etc.) that you live within.

my specialties

my clients are typically working through or looking for support with these issues

in addition to these specialties, i also enjoy working with those who have mother-wounds, emotionally immature parents, people pleasers, perfectionists, medical providers and other therapists, as well as athletes/performers.

*if I haven’t listed a specialty area here, it doesn’t mean I don’t work with those presenting concerns or issues—this is just the short list of what I choose to focus on. Feel free to fill out my New Client Questionnaire or e-mail me if you want to see if I’m comfortable working with your unique presenting concerns or issues!
